FOUNDER

Paolo Cerina graduated cum laude in 1989 from the University of Milan and, having completed his professional training, was admitted to the bar in 1993.

He attended specialization courses in London and Amsterdam and in 1993, with a scholarship from the University of Milan and a grant from the Italian Student Loan Fund, earned a Master of Law degree (LL.M.) from the School of Law at Columbia University in New York.

After his first three years of professional practice spent in litigation, he decided to move beyond the adversarial nature of procedural law and began focusing on corporate law, gaining experience in all aspects of contract law and corporate law itself, in mergers and acquisitions, in all financial aspects, and in industrial and intellectual property.

In 2000 he became an equity partner at one of the leading international law firms, where he led the corporate practice as Managing Partner from 2004 to 2008.

In 2009 he decided to open his own law firm. In the early years of his independent practice, he was also a founding partner and investor in a pan-European investment company active in the infrastructure sector, successfully completing several transactions in the energy and real estate sectors.

Throughout his career he has held, and continues to hold, positions as a director on the Boards of Directors of companies and non-profit organizations, helping to ensure the correctness of their conduct, sound governance, and effective interaction among all stakeholders.
